Start your day early with a 4:30 AM hotel pickup to catch the stunning sunrise at Angkor Wat, Cambodia’s most iconic temple. Built between 1113–1150 AD by King Suryavarman II, Angkor Wat spans 330 x 260 meters and features three levels crowned by five majestic towers. As the national symbol of Cambodia, it’s even featured on the country’s flag.
After exploring the temple grounds, enjoy breakfast near Angkor Wat (own expense), surrounded by peaceful views.
Next, journey to the ancient royal city of Angkor Thom, beginning at the impressive South Gate. Continue to the famous Bayon Temple, known for its serene stone faces that gaze in every direction. Built in the 13th century, Bayon is a highlight of Khmer architecture.
Visit the historic Terrace of the Elephants, once used for royal ceremonies and military parades.
